RENEWABLE ENERGY

The SSCS Frond Scour Control Systems are ideally suited, and proven, to provide permanent protection for offshore Renewable Energy devices, subsea foundations, tether  anchors and interconnecting power cables.

The Frond Systems have been installed in to protect the Piled Tripod Foundations of the Offshore Data Collection Mast installed by Cape Wind at their US East Coast, Cape Cod Offshore Wind Farm Site.

Since then the Frond Scour Control Systems have been installed to provide permanent protection for the following Offshore Renewable installations:

Airtricity/GE Energy, Arklow Bank, Irish Sea,

Met Mast Monopile, Wind Turbine Monopile Foundation & Cables,

Npower, Gwynt y Mor, Irish Sea,

                Met Mast Monopile,

Shell, Egmond aan Zee, Dutch North Sea,

Wind Farm Power Cable Crossings,

E-on, Scroby Sands, UK North Sea,

Wind Farm Export Power Cable,

DONG, Barrow, Irish Sea,

Exposed Wind Farm Power Cables –AWAC Protection Housing,

DONG, Gunfleet Sands, UK North Sea,

Wind Turbine Monopile Foundation and Power Cable Protection,

The following schematics illustrate the deployment of the Frond Systems at each of three of the predominant wind turbine subsea foundation designs; monopile, tripod and gravity base.

The Frond Systems are also placed over or alongside wind farm array and export cables to eliminate scour and provide permanent protection.

Technical & Commercial Advantages of using the Frond Systems:

Precise and Selective Positioning,
Diver or ROV Deployment,
Immediate Scour Protection,
